No, you do not need to select an advisor before you will be admitted. Upon commencement of the program, you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with faculty members about your research or project. And upon a mutual agreement between the two of you, you can then followup with the official confirmation process.

Nonetheless, you can choose to contact a professor if you want to, but this will have no bearing on your admission decision.

No, you do not. The application process is free. Please ensure to read the application guidelines which you will find on our How to Apply page, as well as the Admissions page.

No. Pleaase do not send your documents directly to the department. Your application will not be considered if you do that. Please submit your application through the application system.

No, you do not. If admitted and you expressed your interest in a scholarship, you need to attend an interview, and you will be evaluated. Please keep in mind that our scholarships are competitive. Visit our Tuition & Funding page to learn more as well the Office of Global Affairs Finances page.

The number of students admitted in a semester varies. Students in second and first years take some classes together so you get to learn from a diverse set of experiences. Generally, our class size ranges from five to twenty.

Yes, you can. We have admitted students from a diverse backgrounds. Keep in mind though that every application submitted is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Ensure to submit a strong application and tell us how you are a good fit for this program, whatever your background is.

The English tests accepted by the university are stated on page 80 of the Application Guidelines. Please ensure to consult and study the guidelines if you are applying.
